Hey guys just a quick update. I am still waiting for access to the site from Martin so nothing new to report on that stuff.
The team is busy working out a plan which is going pretty good and will be a great new start for the community. So far some of the ideas we have that are pretty solid is moving to a new home with the same domain name. This will help with the stability issues we are currently experiencing.
Of course with a new home comes some expenses. Some people suggested a paid service but we will most likely go with a community donation run service instead. What we would like to do is to have a display on the site that shows the current cost for that month so if people want to help out they can donate and cut the cost to us.
Utahcon is also currently working on the development side of things and will be using Wordpress MU (which is a community blogging system based on Wordpress). Utahcon is extremely talented and has experience with WPMU so I am pretty positive this will be the system will be using once we move.
WPMU is also more secure and reliable and has a lot more support from the developers as well as the WPMU community.
Also once we move I will no longer be heading EFx2Blogs :D .. this will be a complete team effort. I am already excited about starting something new and fresh with this great team. :)
Many many good things to come :D

Thanks for taking the time to update us Keith, and thanks to all those working behind the scenes to make this happen...
I will be happy to pay should it be needed when the time arrives.
Based on general comments I've come across, the only major concern is regarding the entire operational layout...
Virtually EVERYONE (including my humble self) hopes that all will stay the same because efx is AMAZINGLY user-friendly and simple.
Anyway... Hope you and your family are doing well, Bud !

thanks for the update, I'll just keep my fingers crossed that you can get through to Martin.
Are you looking forward to being just a blogger instead of the commander in chief?

Awesome. Thanks for the info.
BTW, anything we can do about the spam coming off the CL and Dev blogs? It's 20-30 a day sometimes and you can't unsubscribe.

Recent downtime post

Keith I wonder if you should delete your entry called Recent Downtime as it's old and gets constant spam. It's not possible to unsubscribe from post and therefore our comments notifications are constantly full of spam from that particular post. Thanks a lot . Chandra

*looks up from the WPMU code*
Wow... wow... wow.
Actually things are going pretty neat over here. I have been able to get the ball rolling with the code setup, and I will be making our working code set available soon. Stay tuned.
