Comment Box On Entry Page

I know many people hate having the comment box on the separate page .. including me. So I have modified the script so we can now have the comment box on the same page as your blog entry.

....

Blah it kept messing up my HTML stuff .. so I put it in an external page.

You can read the instructions here

Meh... followed your instructions, but now I have a 'post a comment' box after each comment left on any blog...

Okay; I've put the basic HTML in without the style DIV and without the anchor link into my PixieTemplates blog, and I've tried placing it immediately before and immediately after the /blockquote, and both ways it gives me a 'post comment' box in between each comment...

I gave an example of how it should look.

You need to look for the exact code at the end of the whole comment section in the design. On most designs it looks like this ..

</div>
</div>
</Trackback>
</IfTrackbacksAllowed>
</blockquote>
</Entry>
</IfEntryPage>

See the </blockquote> there .. add the following code before "or" after it.

<IfCommentsAllowed>
<%PostCommentPage%>
</IfCommentsAllowed>

I don't have the trackback code, but I found the /blockquote followed by /entry and /ifentrypage and put it in that area...

Yeah thats where it goes. If it's not working for yours then there is something wrong with your design.

I just checked your template in the database and you have it in the wrong spot.

Your code looks like this ..

</blockquote>
<IfCommentsAllowed>
<%PostCommentPage%>
</IfCommentsAllowed>
</Comment>
</IfCommentsAllowed>
</Entry>
</IfEntryPage>

You need to move it down below the ..

</Comment>
</IfCommentsAllowed>

Having it above it is making it part of the comments code. That is why it is showing up after each comment for you.

Should look like ..

</blockquote>
</Comment>
</IfCommentsAllowed>
<IfCommentsAllowed>
<%PostCommentPage%>
</IfCommentsAllowed>
</Entry>
</IfEntryPage>

And then you can put in the optional blockquotes if you want it the same width as your comments or leave it as is and have it the same width as your posts.

EclectaComment

At the end of each of my blog entries, I have a "post a comment link". To make them go directly to the comment entry form, I used the following format for the link:

< a href='<%EntryURL%>#comment' >Post a Comment< /a >

(You know, in case other people care about such mundane things as I do ;)

Yeah I mentioned that in my instructions but it's probably better with just the #comment rather then having the <%EntryURL%> .. that way you are not reloading the page and then jumping down the comment box. With just the #comment as the URL it will just jump down without a page reload. :)

awesome!

thanks for this, keith. the weird thing is the #comment didn't work with mine.. i've to use the < a href='<%EntryURL%>#comment' >Post a Comment< /a > but i notice the page takes quite some time to load. any idea?

Not sure but yeah if it doesn't work for the link use the entry link. I think some browsers don't like just having the anchor there. :P

Hello guys! I am in a great need of credit card. My credit score is fair. I am going to apply online in order to save my time and make a step by step comparison before applying. I have chosen one website with the most alluring cards (in my opinion) and now seeking advice to clear up if this site is really reliable and safe. Perhaps you know.

canadian bad credit cards

One of the most undesirable things that can happen in life is lack of cash, especially if you are in urgent need of buying something. I experienced this some time ago and due to my bad credit I went into terrible debt. At the moment I'm on my way to finally rebuilding credit, as I followed recommendations at

Good Day! My daughter is a student and studies in another city. We would like to apply for a student credit card for her in order to start building credit history and because of convenient use, but do not know for sure if the following site is really good? And how safe is it to make it online? Could you help us to clear up these moments?

the best way to build credit

It is hard to find a good credit card deal. There are always hidden pitfalls. I have a college friend who’s been paying off her credit card debt for 6 years now. That’s because she wasn’t aware of the terms and conditions of her card. The only way to avoid trouble is to read all the details. This is what I did when I applied for my most favorite visa card at
